Creating Your Painball Field
Making a good paintball field can be rewarding and challenging. The first thing you are looking for is a place to put you main start off bunkers. After that you can move on. The area you are looking for is an area with a lot of trees so you set up bunkers in different places but you also need enough space to be able to run around. If you have an open space consider building trenches and try to find the softest place to dig. If you have a place with more trees start building bunkers out of planks wood, logs or what ever else you can find that will give you some cover. If there is a part of the field were there is a lot of bushes then leave it the way it is you can use that as cover so they cannot see you and you can ambush them. The next thing is, you need to have some strategy in the field. You can just have random bunkers everywhere. You need to put one then another one ahead of it but slightly to the side of it. It’s hard to explain but you should get the picture. The number one thing is being creative. In our paintball field we have many trenches and bunkers. There is a river that separates the two sides of the field and there are some areas were the water is too deep to cross and some were it is shallow enough to cross. So I give some strategy to the field cause you can cross the river from many places therefore maybe leading you behind the enemy team. In our field we also have three major parts to it. On one side there is what we call the wetland and on the same side there is a mountain and this mountain takes you to a high view were you can see the most of the river. The other side is full of dead trees everywhere. A lot of big trees are knocked down creating natural bunkers for cover. We have put a lot of hard work in this field and its all worth it.

Elements of a dream - Best movie i have ever made.
For our English class about a month ago we had to create a movie about the American Dream. So what my partner and me did was a war movie during WW2 with the Nazis and the Americans. We were using paintball guns to animate this short film. We came up with a story line that two brothers join the army and the parents are not too fond about this. The family is poor the parents want them to stay and help out but they join and they get sent out to Berlin. They’re walking then they cross a river and their whole squad gets killed except the 2 brothers. They continue with their mission but then they one brother dies and the other survives the rest of the war and he goes back home and realises the American Dream. At first when filming we thought oh this is going to suck. But with all the editing and stuff it came out to be the best movie in the class. Many people have seen this in my family, at school and in my partners family and they all said it was really really good. So we decide that we are going to make another one but it will be 10 times better with more action and of course a good story line.
Anyways it is available for you to view on you tube. There are 2 parts to it.

The Tippman Paintball Markers - The Tippman X7
Now we have the Tippman X7, which is the next one up from the A5. It still used the cyclone system but it has been improved a little bit. This new X7 has a whole new look.
It comes with a diamond shape hopper and you can’t forget the magazine that is included with the marker. The magazine can come out of the marker and it can open up and you can store your tools for you marker in it. They don’t make noise because they do not move around in the magazine because there are slot that hold the tools in place. The fore grip on the marker, which is the place you place you frontal shooting hand can come off easy so you can upgrade it. There area also many upgrades for this marker today and still they are being made today. Just think about this gun as a mega upgrade to the A5.

The Tippman Paintball Markers - The Tippman A-5
Now we have the Tippman A-5, which is a whole new paintball marker. It works on a whole new system. The main thing why this marker is very good is because of the new Cyclone on the paintball marker. They made the gun but Tippman came up with a whole new system to feed the paintball to the chamber where they are shot out. The system is simply a cyclone that is attached to the bottom of the hopper. And it works with the air in you marker, so no electric stuff. Every time you take a shot, the cyclone turn and puts a paintball in the chamber. It is an efficient way to feed your paint. If you buy an upgrade for this marker like say an E-Grip which is an upgrade that makes your marker shoot automatic. Anyways with the E-Grip you usually need to buy an electric hopper to feed you paintball fast enough but with the Cyclone system you don’t need one it can feed up 20 balls per seconde and you can upgrade the cyclone of you want to make it feed at an even greater speed. I have the A-5 and I love it. It never chopped or broke a paintball in my chamber. In other words it does not fail. Another thing I really like about this gun is its lightweight and it look good. You can customise this gun more then any gun ever made. The feel and the accuracy of this marker is incredible. You can buy longer barrels and it makes it even more accurate. It has a grip in the front of the marker and the stock sights are great. The hopper that attaches to the cyclone feeder is bigger and it can hold up 250 paintballs. I have had this marker for 4 years now and It has not broken on me once.
The Tippman Paintball Markers - The Custom Pro
Now we have the next one up from the 98 Custom. It’s the 98 Custom Pro. This model was built to make a better 98 Custom. It has many differences from its original model.
The first thing is it has a whole new look. Second we have a drop for the air tank. Third it come with a longer and better looking barrel and you can modify it a little more then your regular 98. I don’t know much about this marker but it one of my friends have it and it has never failed on him even in the wintertime. But if you are going to start playing paintball you should still go with the 98 custom which is the bottom line marker.

The Tippman Paintball Markers - The 98 Custom
The company Tippman is one of the biggest company for paintball guns. They have a variation of paintball gun for grabs. It all depends on what kind of style you want lets start of with the Tippman 98 custom. This paintball marker is known to be the base line of their markers. I would use this gun if I were a beginner in the sport of paintball. The first thing about this marker is that I just does not break. If seen these guns thrown on the ground smashed but they still keep shooting. Another thing about this marker is that if you drop it in the mud or whatever substance you find in the outdoors it still shoots. It might not shoot strait because of the crap in the barrel but the paintballs still come out. There are other guns out there like the Spyders, these guns break a lot they are simply not worth buying. You will find yourself on the paintball field watching everybody play as you sit out because you marker will not shoot. The problem with these is some are electric and they tend to be fragile especially in the wintertime. Another problem is that they are built cheap and they jam a lot. They are simply not a good design. So if you are going to start paintball go with the Tippman 98, it is the perfect gun to start off with and the best thing is you can buy upgrades for you marker to make it look better or perform even smoother in the paintball field.

Team positions - The squad Commander
The squad commander is the brain of the paintball team. In other words he is the master of strategy. He uses his radio to direct his team. He carry the same gun as the medium riflemen. The team relies on him to command the team to victory. The commander needs to know what he is doing to be able to win games.

Team positions - The heavy gunner
The Heavy Gunner or the hammer is like the heavy rifleman but he is 10 times better. He carries a double gun with a crank on the side to spray paintballs across the field. You don’t want to get it by this guy because he will rip you to shreds. Its not one gun shooting at you on automatic it two at a time and these two guns shoot 30 paintballs per second. The hammer is the king when its on the paintball field. When a player become good at this position and he enter a big paintball league then he wont be on foot anymore he will be in a paintball tank. The tank needs 2 people, a driver and of course a gunner.

The heavy rifleman or the broadsword is known for its destructive power. In other words you don’t want to mess with this guy. With an automatic marker and a lot of paintballs it give fear to the enemy team. The team uses this guy to push back enemy’s or make them duck and cover so the rest of the team can move up the field and gain territory. He is not the fastest but he can eliminated anything in its path.

Team positions - The Medium Rifleman
The medium riflemen or the sabre is another important position. Its jobs is to flank, to suppresses, to snipe. He is your position that is used most in a game. He carry’s an average amount of paint ready for constant action. The daggers or the light riflemen use him as a pivot to move in. The whole team relies on him as he is the heart of the team. He spends most of the game trading fire with the enemy team. In other words he keep them busy while the flanker such as the light riflemen’s and the snipers move in to give damage to the opposing team.

The Light riflemen or the Dagger is an important position. Its jobs come in when the enemy team lines are thin. They move in with light equipment with great speed they stab threw the thin enemy lines. If you need someone to bunker someone the daggers are the position that does the job right. Team positions - The ambush sniper
It takes a lot of skill to be a paintball sniper. To be able to shoot somebody with a paintball marker from a long distance takes a lot of accuracy. To be able to get so close enough to the enemy team that you think they can hear your heart beading so fast because of all the adrenaline that is rushing threw you takes skill. Every ambush sniper uses some piece of camouflage to blend in with nature. Whether its an action ghillie or a normal ghillie they get the jobs done. The most important thing if you are an ambush sniper is to be really patient. You need to wait for the enemy team to give you the best shot for you to take. Another important thing is to have stealth and mental discipline. The main job of an ambush sniper is to set an ambush. I remember not to long ago I was playing paintball and I set an ambush and when the tam came close to me they almost stepped on me and
I thought they could here my heart beating.

- You need to have a ghillie suit. Actions ghillies are easier to move around in and they are more breathable. A Normal ghillie is a little harder to move around in and they tend to become really hot.
- Your gear needs to light you don’t want to be moving with heavy stuff
- Practice shooting. You need to make single shots count.
- When you get eliminated figure out why and review it.
- Stay in the shadows. Your camo works better in a darker place.
- Make slow steady movements. The human eye is attracted to movement.
- Get down on your belly, it helps a lot.
- Use a sight such as a red dot sight. It improves your accuracy by 30 %
- Buy good paint
- Become good at estimating ranges
- Keep your barrel clean
- Get a good gun
- Get a good barrel don’t go over 16 inches

Team play
In a woodsball team there are 6 different positions. The ambush sniper, The light riflemen, The medium riflemen, The heavy riflemen, The commander and of course The mobile heavy gunner. All of these positions will be explained in my blog as it progresses. But first lets talk about what makes a great team. Sure you need to be a great player but the number one thing is coordination. You cant be a one man team. Your team needs to practice many different tactics such as flanking, leap forging, suppressive fires, communications, leadership, game plans were every player is participating and assigned positions. Playing a game alone against other player is fun but playing with a team and using communication is ten times funner then being alone. In fact you play better in a team and your stress diminishes. So if you play paintball round up a team and practice all those sorts of tactics and you will become a great team.
Lube your marker
A lot of people have asked me this question before how to lube your marker. In fact some people that are new to paintball never knew they hade to do that. It is really important to lube up your marker. It is what gives it life. Without the lube your paintball marker will last you a month because it will wear down the metal inside your marker from constant rubbing against another metal. The easier and quickest way to lube up your marker is to put 3 drops of lube in were your tank screws in then screw on your tank then fire of 5 shots to spread all that lube inside your marker. The other way is to take apart your gun and lube it everywhere inside the gun. Make sure you know what you are doing if you take apart your marker because if one thing is missing or misplaced your marker will not work or not work as it should. There you have it how to lube your paintball marker.

Winter Paintball
Winter is coming and we all know that winter paintball is a lot of fun. It might be cold and your paintball might freeze up but its fun. Here I am going to give u a few tips on keeping your self from getting cold and how to maintain your marker in cold weather.
First things is first keeping warm. The most important thing is not to have too much stuff on you because you got to remember that your going to be running around out there and you will eventually sweat. So don’t put to much stuff on. I put on 2 pairs of pants. Normal pants and then my digital camo pants. For the top I have 2 pairs of long sleeve shirts over each other and a sweater. Every time I paintball in the winter I bring extra clothes in case I start getting cold and the number 1 rule is to keep moisture out and warmth in. For your head you can wear a touk under your mask or a balaclava mask that keeps you really warm. On your feet you should have normal socks, then a thicker sock and on top of that water resistant bout with good insulation. Don’t forget to bring extra socks. Now for your marker. There is not so much to do for your marker in the winter but make sure you have a good marker not some marker from walmart or anywhere else. Try to go with Tippman’s, as they are the best markers for paintball in the outdoors. You can get a lot of problems with you Co2 tanks in the wintertime. The first thing is it can freeze up inside the tank causing you from not getting any gas to got threw your gun. The second thing is it can be really dangerous because the co2 can expand inside the tanks causing overpressure and that can affect you velocity therefore a safety concern created. For winter paintball your should play with compressed air as a source of gas but if you don’t here is a way to avoid getting you co2 tanks to freeze up and become dangerous. Grab like 3 pairs of socks and put them on your tanks to keep it warm and when you’re playing don’t shoot automatic because you tank will freeze up. Keep you shot count low.

Organised Paintball
Being organised in paintball is a good thing. Especially in woodsball were it is easy to lose something in the forest. Special ops paintball came up with different thing that get your paintball gear organised. First there is the special ops bush bucket pod system.
Its holds 6 pod on the outside and it holds a paper towel to clean your mask when you get hit there. The best thing with this is that it is also a padded seat on the top and inside the bush bucket pod system there is a bucket that holds paintballs and whatever else fits in there. Another great invention from special ops is the special ops gear hangout. This new thing wraps around a tree to create a hangout for your paintball gear. You can hang your marker, your mask, your vest and much more instead of leaving your stuff on the ground getting it full of dirt. The collapsible pod loader is another great invention from special ops. How many times have your tried to load up your pod and having paintballs falling on the ground wasting paintballs. With the new pod collapsible pod loader paintball only go one place in your pod. I acts like a funnel that lead all the paintball in one place.

If I were to win 35 millions dollars from the lotteries I would start off by buying myself a nice house with a lot of land around it. But I would still keep my job because of certain reason I do not know. I would then go buy myself good car and truck and an airplane. I would also give some money to my brothers and parents so they can go buy themselves something. With the money that is left after the house, the car, the truck, the airplane and everything else I would spend the rest of my life without worrying about paying bills and a lot more stuff. My life would be so much easier all I need to do is work, have fun and relax until I die.

Paintball grenades and landmines
There are many different types of paintball grenades and landmines. Lets start off with paintball grenades. Today we have paintball grenades that use a rubber tube to pressurize the liquid inside the grenade to squirt out paint at your opponents. But paintball games are more and more realistic these days. They now have grenades that blow up by using either baking soda and vinegar, compresses C02 and even creating blanks with 22 calibre bullets. Any types of these grenades are sold at around 8 $ in paintball stores but which one of them blow more paint all over the place. After testing many types of grenades I found out that the ones with a rubber tube build are the best. Although they do not create much realism in the sport of paintball they work the best. The other types of grenades that blow up spray out less paint but are more realistic when you’re playing. The best thing about the rubber tube kind of grenade is that you can make them at home and they will work just as good as the ones you buy at the store. There also different types of paintball mines. There are ones that use the rubber tube like the grenades and the ones that use compressed C02 the shoot out the paint at your opponents. The best type of mine that works is the ones with compressed C02 and just like he rubber grenades they are easy to make if you have PVC piping. When someone steps on it, it pushes the little 12-gram C02 bottle down on to something pointy and sharp. After a certain amount of weight the C02 bottle will break releasing all the compressed gas sending the paint flying up threw the mine in the persons face. In half a second the opponent is covered in paint and he is out of the game.

The all new TM-7 from BT
The TM-7 is the newest marker from BT and it is also known as the lightest marker made from BT. This new marker operates on compressed air only with no external hoses what so ever. The airline is goes threw the inside of the TM-7’s grip all the way to the release valve. The marker has 3 fires modes semi-automatic, 3 round burst and full auto. It uses universal mini style barrel which means the gun uses auto cocker treads. So any auto cocker treads would fit in this marker. We also have a low-pressure kit inside the marker. For the stock we have the Mp5 sliding stock that has multiple positions. We also have a front grip that is foldable that is comfortable for your hand to support the marker. There are multiple picatinny rails that give you the options to add a red dot sight, laser sight and much more. The inside of the whole marker is made out of mini technology that means that the marker is a high performance marker. The suggested retail price for this new marker is around 450 $.

The PCS Encounter vest
Pursuit combat systems have made a new paintball vest. Its called the PCS Encounter vest. This vest is made out of heavy duty cordura construction. The vest is available in two colors olive and black. The vest hold up to 11 vertical 140 round pods that’s 1540 paintball all in one vest. It also has the space to carry 4 spare tanks, a high-pressure system, a hydration system, six paintball grenades, your wallet, your keys, radio and lenses. Inside the vest here is a support belt that is just like any pod pack that keeps the vest thigh in place. The storage compartments are also removable if you do not want them there. The air tank compartment is place horizontally to give to player better contact with their gun and their remote line.I think this is a great vest and i am going to purchase this vest because it can carry all my stuff and it is alot more comfortable then a pod pack that hold a tank and 4 pods.

The BT Delta and the BT Delta Elite
The BT Delta is a marker a pretty new marker. It was created in the replica of the MP5, a real gun today. Today this marker is sold for 300$ which is a very good price for a marker that look so good. The marker shoots paintballs .68 calibers and it can operate with CO2 or compressed air. This means that the marker can be used in the winter because of air compressed. The marker includes an adjustable stock that has 6 different positions and a handle for the shooter's hand. It also has a magazine to accommodate the true replica of the MP5. This magazine can also come out of the marker. The marker is made of aluminium to give it construction with less weight and this marker can accommodate several different modifications. The velocity of the marker can be adjusted from 200 to 350 PPS. ( Feet per second ). Not to long ago a new Bt has come out it is the BT Delta Elite. This marker is the same as the original but it comes with modifications. It includes the APEX barrel, which gives the paintball a greater distance to travel, turning it to the right, left or downwards. It also includes a different handle, a double trigger, an E-trigger that is already built into the marker and a Rip-clip which gives the marker a more efficient way to make the paintballs get feed in to the power tube. The BT Delta is a marker with a very good appearance and an incredible performance. It can accommodate several different modifications to give it even better appearance and performance. It is not a heavy marker and it can be used all year because of its power to be able to use compressed air.

A new beginning in the sport of Paintball
Local players are now playing waiting game.
Local players are now playing waiting game.
A new paintball field is opening up in North Oshawa and the name will be outdoor paintball. This new paintball field is known to open up on September 22nd 2008. People are saying that it will be way better then other previous paintball fields. The owner of the field John Brown tells us he has waited all his life to open up his own paintball field.
This state of the art paintball field is composed of 3 big paintball fields and a paintball store adding them up at the end with a total of 50 acres. The first field will be composed of a forest like field were there are creeks, mud, and a lot of big trees. Bunkers will be made out of big logs stacked on top of each other giving them different shapes and sizes. The second field will have a city like look. John announces that it will have broken down buses, cars, tunnels, buildings, big cement walls and many more things. The last field will be trench warfare. It will have two main bunkers for both teams and it will be full of trenches of all shapes and sizes in the middle of the field.
John also tells us that there will be a store in this paintball field. This store will carry all your paintball needs. If you do not own paintball marker you can rent one but there is a small price. For 30 dollars you get a Tippman 98 custom, a bag of 500 paintballs, a hopper, a 12 oz C02 tank an a free day pass. All other safety equipment is available to rent for 2 dollars a piece that saying a neck guard, knee pads ect..
If you own a paintball marker C02 fills are 5 $ for all sorts of tanks but compressed air fills are free. If your missing a tank or a mask you can rent them for 5 dollars each.
John brown also lets us in on a little secret. Every year starting on the second Friday of July there will be a special event. It will be called the Scenario Weekend and John plans to put all 3 fields together to make one big field. Basically it is going to be one big paintball game that will last players a whole weekend. Two teams fight for a whole weekend with 200 players on each team that making it a total of 400 players on the field. There will be scheduled scenario games and the team with the most victories at the end of the weekend win the scenario weekend. Each player on the winning team will then be rewarded with a small prize. The Scenario weekend will have 4 paintball tanks and 2 helicopters that will drop people in the battlefield. All this plus tons more is 350 dollars a person. With a price that nobody can beat you get free paintballs, free C02 fills, drinks and food but remember space is limited, there is only 400 players that can participate in the Scenario Weekend and once again Outdoor Paintball is opening up on September 22nd 2008 in North Oshawa on Conlin RD. Hope to see you there.

The Special Ops Action Ghillie
Ghillie suit have come a long way and it all started in World War 1 were the Scottish highlanders came up with a way to blend in with the natural environment. They used burlap back then and still today burlap is used to make ghillie suits. But there is one thing with these, they can get really hot especially if your playing paintball in the middle of the summer. Now the Special Ops team has come up with a new ghillie suit systeme that uses vinyl leaf cut up in 6x6 square inches to make camouflage and the results are great as it creates 3D camouflage. This type of suit is called an action ghillie because it is easier to move around in, it is a very light suit because it is made of vinyl leaf and the wind can blow right threw the suit keeping you cool on those hot days of paintball. There are 5 parts to this suit the shirt, the pants, the hood, the gloves and the rifle wrap. When you purchase this suit it comes with a mesh like base, a bag of 1000 zip ties and a whole lot of vinyl leaf in different colours. You make this suit on your own and I find this is better since you can make it so it blends in to the natural environment you play paintball in. Making it is easy you just need time and patience. All you need to do is take a piece of 6x6 vinyl leaf and tie them on your mesh base slightly overlapping each piece of vinyl leaf. The vinyl leaf is available in woodland color, desert, night, desert digi, woodland digi, marsh digi and snow.
